The Continental Economics Institute (CEI) is a fully independent think tank that pursues the educational mission of exposing the ruinous consequences of inflation, protectionism, excessive taxation, market interventionism, and militarism. The objective of the CEI's research program consists in discerning, analyzing and designing those institutions that promote the "progressive accumulation of new capital and its utilization for the improvement of technical methods of production" (Mises) in order to create a humane and prosperous society. The CEI faculty is formed as a free association of scholars from around the world who work in the tradition of classical liberalism, modern libertarianism and the Austrian School of Economics. The Continental Economics Institute was founded by Professor Dr. Antony Peter Mueller. See bio. Welcome on board. Support prosperity and liberty and help to promote private property, sound money and free trade. Comments and Suggestions |

Ludwig von Mises, Human Action |
| "Whether we like it or not, it is a fact that economics cannot remain an esoteric branch of knowledge accessible only to small groups of scholars and specialists. | "The flowering of human society depends on two factors: the intellectual power of outstanding men to conceive sound social and economic theories, and the ability of these or other men to make these ideologies palatable to the majority." Ludwig von Mises, Human Action |
| "Economics must not be relegated to classrooms and statistical offices and must not be left to esoteric circles. It is the philosophy of human life and action and concerns everybody and everything. It is the pith of civilization and of man's human existence." - Ludwig von Mises: Human Action |
| "The worship of the state is the worship of force. There is no more dangerous menace to civilization than a government of incompetent, corrupt, or vile men. The worst evils which mankind ever had to endure were inflicted by bad governments." - Ludwig von Mises: Omnipotent Government |
| "There is in the course of human events no stability and consequently no safety." Ludwig von Mises, Human Action |
| Keys to prosperity and liberty "All that good government can do to improve the material well-being of the masses is to establish and to preserve an institutional setting in which there are no obstacles to the progressive accumulation of new capital and its utilization for the improvement of technical methods of production." Ludwig von Mises- Planning for Freedom |
